Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, on Monday evening chaired a meeting of the National Consultative Assembly focusing on transparency and acceleration of elections.
The meeting coming in the wake of claims of elections fraud focused on election transparency and confidence.
In the meeting, the Prime Minster conveyed to the forum concerns and grievances related to the election of some seats in the House of the People and the measures he had put to address the same.
The Prime Minister thanked the regional administration that have initiatiated the Parliamentary elections and called on the remaining ones to do so as soon as possible.
The meeting by the National Consultative Assembly follows after the Prime Minister convened a meeting for the election commissions stressing the transparency question.
The presidents of Puntland, Jubaland and Hirshabelle have announced that they will begin holding lower house parliamentary elections in the coming days.
