Jubaland State Minister Injured in Roadside Explosion En Route to Bulo Haji

The Minister of Religious Affairs for Jubaland regional state, Mohamed Omar Yusuf, known as “Abu Yusuf,” was injured by a roadside explosion while traveling to Bulo Haji. He was accompanying reinforcements following today’s massive Al-Shabaab attack, according to sources.

The incident occurred as Abu Yusuf’s convoy was making its way to the site of the recent clashes. Earlier in the day, Al-Shabaab fighters ambushed government forces en route to the battlefields in Yoontooy, Farwaamo, and Cabdalla-Biroole, all of which are near Kismayo in the Lower Jubba region.

Despite these challenges, government forces, bolstered by reinforcements, are continuing their efforts to secure the area and repel further militant attacks.

Reports indicate that the minister is receiving medical treatment, and his condition is good.
