Ethiopia’s Somali Regional State has pledged undergraduate scholarships for students from Somalia’s Galmudug State who have completed secondary school.
According to a statement from the Galmudug Ministry of Education, the scholarships will be provided by Qabridahare University, with beneficiaries selected through an open and transparent competition.
The announcement followed a telephone conversation between Somali Regional State President Mustafe Mohamed Omar and Galmudug’s newly elected leader, Liban Ahmed Hassan.
During the conversation, President Mustafe congratulated Liban on his election and announced the scholarships in recognition of his victory.
The Galmudug Ministry of Education has urged secondary school graduates to participate in the competition to determine the successful candidates.
The ministry added that further details regarding eligibility requirements, registration procedures, and the date and venue of the competition would be announced through an official notice.
