Traditional elders are working to get a ceasefire to the ongoing clan clashes that have left two people dead and more than 4 others injured in Bahdo Gaabo, Galgadud region.
The elite group are putting in place measures to end the tensions between the militias which waged the fight late on Friday afternoon that continued until last night without end.
The traditional elders have succeeded in establishing a ceasefire in the area to begin their talks towards finding a lasting solution to the crisis.
The elders called on the Galmudug government to send the armed forces of the 21st Division to over see a calm situation during the mediation perbetween them in order to strengthen their fragile ceasefire.
The clashes erupted over land disputes and reached the point where the two clan militias were engaged in fighting before the ongoing negotiations with the traditional elders of Ba’do Gaabo area of Galgadud region calmed the situation.
