Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Wednesday received Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Muwallad, at his office in Mogadishu, where the two officials discussed bilateral relations and areas of mutual interest.
According to a statement, the meeting “focused on strengthening the longstanding brotherly ties between Somalia and Saudi Arabia, with both sides emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation in diplomacy, development, and regional partnership” .
Prime Minister Hamza and Ambassador Al-Muwallad reviewed ongoing collaboration between the two countries and explored opportunities to further deepen relations across various sectors.
The discussions also highlighted the shared commitment of Somalia and Saudi Arabia to enhancing cooperation in support of regional stability, economic development, and mutual interests.
Saudi Arabia remains one of Somalia’s key partners in the Gulf region, supporting a range of development and humanitarian initiatives across the country.
