Puntland security officers protesting against unpaid wages have closed checkpoint in Garowe

Puntland police officers who are protesting against unpaid wages have closed the eastern checkpoint in Garowe.

These protesting forces have stopped traffic movements on the road that connects the cities of Garowe and Bosaso.

These forces, armed with security vehicles, accused President Deni of using the salaries of the Puntland forces in the election campaign, as reported by an officer  among the rebel forces.

This protest coincides with the Puntland president in Galkacyo, where he is in political campaign of his organization Kaah, which is to meet today to seek mass support for the organisation

Puntland administration and security forces have not received any salary for several months, which has come at a time when President Deni is in the midst of an election campaign

Last week, troops have also closed the checkpoint in Galkacyo, and it is said that they are still in control there, while President Deni is in Galkacyo.
