National Consultative Forum enters day two :What are the subjects of discussion?

It’s the second day of the National Consultative Assembly meeting in Mogadishu.
The conference has its key agendas on electoral Issues and National Security .

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and the Heads of States of Jubbaland, Puntland, Galmudug, South West, Hir-Shabelle and the Governor of Banadir discussed on the first day how to strengthen the security.

Leaders are today deliberating on ways to complete the election of the 11th House of the People of the Federal Parliament with nearly 30 members elected so .

The election of the members of the House of the People which officially started on 1 November 2021 has been delayed several times due to controversy over the overturning results of of elected seats in Mogadishu, Dhusamareb and Baidoa due to vote rigging claims.

The first elected HOP # 239 seat won by Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed Guled (Khadar) has, due to complains, led to a seven-day investigation by the Federal Dispute Resolution Committee.

Sources close to the meeting told Mustaqbal that Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and the leaders of Jubbaland, Puntland, Galmudug, Hir-Shabelle & South West agreed to expand the conference to incorporate Key parties in the elections such as the International Community , the Union of Candidates & Civil Society to join in to find a plan to set a final timetable for the elections.
